Parents (and Allies?) of LGBTQI+ Support Group
Parenting always comes with a set of worries, but for parents of LGBTQI+ children, these fears have intensified in today’s uncertain climate. The once cautiously optimistic outlook toward equality and acceptance has been overshadowed, and concerns about the future can feel overwhelming. But you are not alone.
This 8-week in-person support group is designed to provide a safe and compassionate space for parents (and allies?) of LGBTQI+ youth. Whether your child has recently come out or you’ve always known their identity, this group offers a community of like-minded parents walking a similar path. Together, we’ll discuss ways to support your child while also prioritizing your own well-being. You must stay healthy and present for them—and this group will give you the tools and shared experiences to help you do that.
What You’ll Gain:
- Community Connection: Be part of a supportive group where you can openly express your concerns, share your experiences, and receive reassurance from others who understand.
- Practical Support: Learn self-care strategies that will keep you resilient and available for your child, even in challenging times.
- Expert Guidance: Led by an experienced group facilitator with over 20 years of experience in interactive group dynamics, this setting will provide a unique opportunity for connection and growth.
Together, we’ll help each other navigate the challenges of parenting in a changing world and find strength in our shared experiences.
