Dr. Lupini’s areas of specialty include:

  • Individual Therapy in Office and Telehealth
  • Mood Disorders (depression and bipolar)
  • Anxiety
  • Adjustment to Significant Change or Life Event

Some people are quite aware of their history of depression or bipolar disorder and are ready to develop new coping skills to improve their wellbeing. Others are unaware that they may be depressed, but experience powerful symptoms such as lack of motivation, fatigue, sadness, or an overwhelming sense of defeat. Nearly everyone experiences anxiety. However, when those symptoms of anxiety are becoming too powerful and interfere with the life you want to lead, therapy can help customize coping skills to ease your experience. Lastly, changes in life are inevitable, but adjusting to it can be difficult. So, finding a “new normal” or processing loss may be part of our work together.

I use a variety of techniques, (Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) but quite simply, I encourage you to tell your story, explain what brought you to therapy, and identify what you want to change. Once we establish our plan, the conversation shifts to discover themes of interference. Perhaps this interference was helpful to survival in an earlier time, but now may be holding you back. Many people do not want to “dwell” in the past. However, the past provides the data we need to alter the interference so you can create a new path.

Take time to take care of yourself.
